Threadback
A HELPING THREAD

Support.

A few answers to help you get back to your work.

Why does Threadback need a connection to open?

Each time the app starts, it checks for current public settings before opening your library or introduction. If this fails, check your connection and choose Try again. Your saved projects remain on your device. After opening, editing and exporting work locally for that session.

Where is my data?

Threadback keeps your project names, handoffs, references, and reminder settings on your device. Version one has no Threadback account or cloud sync.

How do I export my notes?

Open Settings and choose “Export all as Markdown” to save your complete library, including archived threads. To share a single project, open its action menu and choose “Share as Markdown.” Markdown is a readable text format; exported files cannot be imported back into Threadback in version one.

How do reminders work?

Choose a reminder while creating or editing a thread. Threadback requests notification permission only after you choose a reminder. Reminders are scheduled on your device. You can change notification access in iOS Settings. Archiving or deleting a thread cancels its pending reminder.

How do I find or restore an archived thread?

Open Settings, then Archived threads. Open the project and select “Restore thread” in its action menu. Its handoff history is kept when you archive or restore it.

How do I delete my data?

Use a thread’s action menu to delete that thread, or Settings → Delete all local data to remove the whole library. These actions require confirmation and cannot be undone inside Threadback. Export first if you need a copy.

What happens if I delete the app?

There is no Threadback server copy of your projects. Recovery depends on any device backup you manage through Apple. Export important notes before deleting the app or its data.

Can I attach a file or use AI?

Version one supports a text reference, such as a link or file name, in each handoff. It does not upload files or include AI.
