What the app stores

Threadback version one stores project names, purposes, handoffs, references, archive state, reminder choices, and introduction progress on your device. It does not send your project content to us and does not require an account.

Connection at launch

Every cold launch downloads public configuration from getthreadback.app before opening the introduction or project library. If this fails, the app shows Try again and keeps your projects on the device. The request includes no project content, account credentials, advertising ID, or persistent device identifier. A new random request value prevents stale cached responses. The hosting provider receives network information such as your IP address, request URL, and time to deliver the response. The website and configuration endpoint use OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare infrastructure. These providers may retain request and security logs under their own policies; Threadback does not add an analytics service or save a separate request-history database.

Collection and tracking

The app has no analytics, advertising, tracking, or third-party data collection SDK. We do not sell your data. Version one does not include AI.

Reminders and exports

If you choose a reminder, the app asks iOS for notification permission and schedules a local notification. If you export or share notes, Apple’s system interfaces let you choose where to send or save them. The provider you choose may process that exported content under its own policy.

Your choices

You can archive or permanently delete an individual thread, or use Settings → Delete all local data. Export first if you want to keep a readable copy. Deleting the app removes its local storage, subject to Apple’s device backup and management behavior. Notification permission can be changed in iOS Settings.

Apple services

Apple may process App Store, device backup, crash, notification, or document-provider information under Apple’s terms and your settings. That processing is separate from Threadback’s local project library.

This website

This website is separate from the app. OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare process network requests to deliver pages and protect the service. We do not add advertising, tracking pixels, or an analytics service. If you email support, your email address, message and any attachments are processed through Cloudflare Email Routing and our Google-hosted support inbox to respond to your request. Do not include sensitive project content. Contact us to request deletion of support correspondence, subject to any legal retention requirements.

Changes and contact

If a later release adds an online feature, this policy will be updated before launch. Project content will not be shared for such a feature without explicit user action and consent.
